Purple tea is a new cultivar of camellia sinsensis (tea). This variety of tea contains high levels of antioxidants, namely catechins and epigallocatechin galette (EPCG). Our Purple African Tea comes from small Kenyan farms. This rare tea is meant to be steeped like a green tea and offers flavors of juniper and fresh greens.
Steeping: 1 teaspoon per cup, 175 degrees F, 3 minutes
